Spring Skating Lessons

I have to admit, it's a little strange getting the kids ready for the rink in this spring weather. It's a great time to go though, no driving through snowy roads and -20 something weather to get there. We go in our spring coats and change when we get there. Yesterday was the kids' third lesson and much improvement from the first time. Annika had skated a number of times before these lessons began and has quickly progressed. Bradley and Ryan however had only been on skates once or twice before and were true beginners. I can't believe how well everyone did yesterday. Ryan who last week could barely stand up, is now skating great lengths without falling and even getting up all by himself. Bradley as well, is doing unbelievable compared to the first two lessons and it's amazing how quickly they catch on and can maintain their balance. In Annika's group they are practicing skating backwards and learning to stop and she is a no fear kind of girl. Here's a picture of my kiddies, I'm so so so proud of them!!!
